Meet Chesin
We are thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our BeLoved Atlanta community, Chesin Kuriakose, who has joined us as the Director of Development. In this blog post, we'll dive into Chesin’s background, his motivations for joining BeLoved, and his vision for the future of our organization.

A Journey of Faith and Empowerment: Chesin’s most important role is as a loving husband to Rosey and a proud father to Lulu, Johnny, and Ruthie. With a career primarily rooted in the church world as a pastor for over a decade, he unexpectedly discovered his passion for helping organizations grow and make a profound impact through resource empowerment. Prior to joining BeLoved, Chesin also contributed his expertise in development to Atlanta Mission. However, it was during the interview process at BeLoved that he experienced a transformative realization: he knew he had to be a part of this incredible journey.
Restoration and Renewal Through BeLoved: When asked why he chose BeLoved, Chesin eloquently expresses that his decision stems from his faith and belief in the power of restoration and renewal. He shares the profound quote by Samwise Gamgee and Tim Keller, "Everything sad is going to come untrue and it will somehow be greater for having once been broken and lost." BeLoved, he explains, is actively engaged in the work of re-creation and restoration. Witnessing our residents' healing journeys and their empowerment towards living fulfilled lives is an honor for him. By loving our city and empowering its daughters, we collectively contribute to the transformative impact BeLoved strives to achieve.
Fostering a Strong and Inclusive Community: Chesin emphasizes the significance of community as he outlines his goals for BeLoved. He recognizes that our community extends beyond just staff, board members, residents, donors, volunteers, and local partners. We are a diverse tapestry woven with different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and personal journeys. Strengthening and building upon this community is Chesin's primary focus. By inviting more individuals to be a part of our community, he envisions a space where healing and empowerment extend to everyone involved. The power of our collective stories and shared experiences becomes a catalyst for personal growth and positive change.
