BELOVED’s Restorative Program
We’ve got to be honest with you…
We aren’t ___________.
We aren’t “saving” women.
We aren’t “rescuing” women.
We’re all out of magic wands.
We don’t have a magic potion.
We don’t have a special prayer.
And as it turns out, we’re no good at being anybody’s savior.
But what we DO have is…
BELOVED provides the only two-year home for survivors of sex trafficking in Atlanta.
Our Restorative Program encompasses the following, all free of charge:
-
Safe Housing
-
Mental Health Services
-
Case Management
-
Healthy Community
Let’s Dive Deeper
1. Safe Housing
BELOVED offers free, safe, and supportive housing in three homes for women transitioning out of the commercial sex industry. Many of these women have faced homelessness and incarceration. In these homes, they find a healing environment, a strong sense of belonging, and a sisterhood that helps them rebuild their lives.
2. Mental Health Services
BELOVED provides trauma-informed group and individual therapy, focusing on each woman's unique journey to recovery. We partner with a specialized psychiatry practice to offer assessments, follow-up care, and medication management. Through therapy, substance abuse treatment, and 12-Step support meetings, women begin to heal and reconnect with their families, communities, and future goals.
3. Strength-Based Case Management
Our strength-based case management offers personalized support for each client’s growth. Clients engage in bi-weekly case management sessions to support them in their goals. Clients also receive life skills classes, healthcare access, job training, educational support and more, helping women build a foundation for lasting independence.
4. Healthy Community
BELOVED fosters a sense of community through regular gatherings and service opportunities. Clients join quarterly dinners, community meetings, and volunteer projects, building strong connections with peers and partners. This nurturing community environment plays a key role in their recovery and long-term success.
